Weather stations and road cameras
We build, install, configure, and maintain weather and road cameras across Estonia. We are a partner of the Transport Administration.
Along major highways, there are 90 weather stations and over 150 road cameras. Many of these have been built by Signaal. Weather stations and road cameras help to monitor weather conditions on roads and how they change. They provide warnings to road users about changing weather, and the data and images are also used by companies responsible for road maintenance.
The stations measure air temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed, and direction, as well as road maintenance parameters such as road surface temperature, road conditions, visibility, etc.
Weather stations and road cameras – according to specific requirements
For weather stations and sensors, we use equipment from the recognised manufacturer Vaisala, designed for Nordic climates.
Modern equipment can be easily installed in locations where accurate information is most critical.. When installing and maintaining camera systems, we take into account the specific characteristics of each location.

Weather stations consist of various devices, including sensors for air temperature, humidity, and road surface temperature. To ensure reliability, both stations and camera systems require regular inspection and maintenance.
