Traffic signs
We are among the three largest traffic sign manufacturers in Estonia. Anyone travelling around the country has almost certainly come across signs made by AS Signaal TM. Each year we produce over 10,000 traffic signs and direction signs.
We work with the Estonian Transport Administration, road construction companies and private clients alike. Our traffic signs are made in accordance with the applicable standards.
The base material of a sign is plastic, galvanised steel sheet or aluminium sheet. The reflective sheeting we use is manufactured by Avery Dennison. It is durable and weather-resistant.
Our range also includes variable message signs, i.e. electronic traffic signs. These make it possible to share up-to-date information and adjust the speed limit according to weather and traffic flow.
In addition to manufacturing signs, we also offer installation and maintenance services.

Our traffic sign production is certified in accordance with EN 12899 “Fixed, vertical road traffic signs”. In manufacturing and installation we follow the standard EVS 613 “Traffic signs and their use”.
Traffic sign sizes – what determines them?
Did you know that several different size groups must be taken into account when manufacturing traffic signs?
Size group 0 – car parks and areas where the speed is below 30 km/h
Size group I – areas where the speed in built-up areas is 30–50 km/h (outside built-up areas 30–60 km/h)
Size group II – areas where the speed in built-up areas exceeds 50 km/h (outside built-up areas over 60 km/h)
Size group III – areas where the speed exceeds 90 km/h (outside built-up areas, for example 110 km/h zones)
Traffic sign installation
We install signs and direction signs permanently on posts set in concrete in the ground, or on existing structures. Where necessary, we mount signs on movable concrete half-blocks.
Upon request (e.g. for private orders), traffic signs can also be ordered without installation. In this case, we deliver the goods by courier or post.
